FaulknerBrowns completes £25m Derby Arena

[FIRST LOOK] FaulknerBrowns has completed this multi-sport arena next to Derby’s Pride Park stadium

Designed with Arup. the £25 million, 5000-seat arena building includes a 250m velodrome raised above a large sports hall.

The cycle track is wrapped with four storeys of support accommodation including a café, gym, plant rooms and spectator galleries.

The 14,500m² building is clad in gold, bronze, and silver ‘ribbons’ of aluminium, designed to ‘echo the feeling of movement and dynamic appearance of the cycle track inside’.
