Those with an eye on London’s West End property market may have noticed that Facebook had finally settled on a new home in Make’s £350 million Rathbone Place scheme.
The social networking giant had been scouring the capital for a site capable of holding its sizeable staff. Its chosen destination is an under-construction project for Great Portland Estates on a 1ha site close to Oxford Street.
What is less widely known is that Frank Gehry’s practice is being lined up for the interiors.
The practice has already delivered a 40,000m2 building for Facebook with ‘the largest open floor plan in the world’ in California’s Silicon Valley.
