London-based Draisci Studio has revealed its designs for the RIBA’s lounge at MIPIM UK later this month
The practice, which featured in the AJ’s 40 under 40, saw off competition from 23 other entries to design the space for the property fair.
The ‘eye-catching and vibrant’ visitor lounge will occupy a 200m² area in the exhibition hall providing a space for RIBA members to meet clients.
The installation will be constructed from flat-pack modular boxes made from honeycomb boards and incorporated sustainable and reusable elements.
Last year emerging outfit Neon designed an ‘exaggerated pin-up board’ for the lounge space, using hundreds of black and white images both taken from the RIBA archive and submitted by architects to define the meeting place.
MIPIM UK takes place from 21 – 23 October at London’s Olympia.
The event will also host the AJ’s Architecture Tomorrow exhibition – a curated show of forthcoming projects designed by UK architects.
