  • Comment

Balham-based Dow Jones has won the go-ahead for an extension to St Mary Magdalene church in Paddington, London

The three-storey addition to the Grade I-listed red brick church (completed 1877) will create space for an education room and café.

The façade of the scheme will include ornamented terracotta tiles with red pigmented concrete forming the building’s lintels and columns.

In a statement the practice, said: ‘This proposal brings together the restoration of George Edmind Street’s Grade I-listed St Mary Magdalene church and a new public community building with amenities for the church, a cafe and classroom overlooking the Grand Union Canal towpath.’
