AHR has won planning for a brace of office buildings close to Victoria rail station in the heart of Manchester
The nine and 11 storey blocks, which form part of the wider NOMA mixed-use regeneration programme, will deliver a total of 32,500m² of workspace.
One and Two Angel Square will sit next to 3DReid’s £114 million Co-operative’s Group One Angel Square headquarters (pictured below). The Co-operative Group is jointly developing the site with Hermes Investment Management.
A restoration programme will see the surrounding listed buildings revamped in what the developers say is ‘one of the largest and most significant heritage-based regeneration schemes in Europe.’
Director of AHR’s Manchester office, Dominic Manfredi said: ‘This is a once in a generation project to revitalise a major part of a city centre. With quality, long term regeneration such as NOMA we believe Manchester’s position as an emerging global city can only continue to grow.’
