Video: BIG tests smoke ring blower for €470 million waste-to-energy ski slope

This new video reveals how a new system will blow out ‘reminder’ smoke rings from BIG’s €470 million waste-to-energy ski slope in Copenhagen

The plant’s smoke stack will blow out rings - one every time a tonne of CO2 is released. According to BIG this will ‘act as a reminder to the city of the environmental impacts of consumption’.

Due to complete in 2016, the plant which incorporates a ski slope on its roof, will treat 400,000 tonnes of waste annually, generating power for 50,000 households with another 120,000 receiving district heating from the plant.
