Crowd funded legal challenge for the garden bridge
Campaigners aiming to derail the Thomas Heatherwick-designed Garden Bridge have begun crowdfunding to raise funds for a legal challenge against the planning approval for the controversial crossing.
The mission, launched by campaign group Thames Central Open Spaces, is aiming to raise £24,000 towards the cost of a judicial review against Lambeth Council.
So far 24 people have donated, raising more than £1,405 to stop the Joanna Lumley-backed ‘vanity project’.
Meanwhile, fellow anti-bridge campaigner the Waterloo Community Development Group has produced a striking publicity image of what it claims is the real reason for London mayor Boris Johnson backing the project. The Selfie Bridge anyone?
