Buckley Gray Yeoman has won a new office project at the Old Truman Brewery in Spitalfields, London
The practice saw off competition from Make, AHMM, and Hawkins\Brown in the invited competition for the Old Truman Brewery job.
The 6,500m² new-build office project will sit at the centre of the former brewery complex.
The practice has also been appointed by Helical Bar to refurbish 28-30 Charterhouse Square - a 1980s office building in Farringdon.
Buckley Gray Yeoman director Matt Yeoman said: ‘We’re delighted to start the year with these project wins, which are a great addition to the extensive and varied work we have on the practice’s books at the moment. 2015 looks set to be a strong year for BuckleyGrayYeoman.’
Down the road from the Old Truman Brewery, the firm is working on controversial plans to pull down the remains of Spiegelhalter’s jewellers shop – a ‘holdout unit’ which splits the two Neoclassical wings of the former Wickhams department store in Mile End Road – as part of a new office-led redevelopment (see AJ 15.01.15).
