AJ100 practice Bennetts Associates has lodged plans for three office blocks in Cardiff city centre

The proposed scheme in John Street will be made up of three 22, 12 and 10 storey office blocks, each with shops on the ground floor.

It is part of a wider 27,871m² development in the city centre, which is being backed by JR Smart, to build new offices, hotels and student housing.

Peter Fisher, director at Bennetts Associates, said: ‘The arrangement of three linked blocks is derived from the site’s triangular perimeter and the need to address external spaces with radically different scales.’

In addition, the plans include two new public squares.

The scheme is among a number of new towers proposed in Cardiff, including plans for Wales’s tallest building - a 42-storey student accommodation scheme by Watkin Jones.
