BACA reveals images of Cotswolds waterfront getaway

BACA Architects has revealed designs for a £1.6 million waterfront escape, the latest addition to luxury Cotswolds destination The Lakes by Yoo

The 785m² getaway is located on a plot on the most westerly lake of the 260 ha private estate and features a swimming pool, a games room, gym and home cinema.

A spacious atrium and spiral staircase connect the house vertically, while the building’s floor plates are skewed, orientating the first-floor bedrooms to offer views of the lake.

BACA director Richard Coutts said: ‘Water creates a profound connection with the spirit of the place. With the glass doors of the living room folded back and the use of a semi-gloss ceiling a gentle  breeze washing over the pool will send reflections dancing across the room.’

Other designers to have worked on the estate include Gaunt Francis and HWO Architects.

The project aims to start on site in spring 2019.
