Allies and Morrison scoops planning for Nine Elms redevelopment

Allies and Morrison’s 5.6 hectare redevelopment of a Royal Mail depot in Nine Elms, London has won planning permission

The project - close to Kieran Timberlake’s new US Embassy project - features 1,870 residential units, 2.5 hectares of public space and a primary school.

The design features three towers which rise to a maximum of 23–storeys.

The scheme is within the 80 hectare Vauxhall Nine Elms and Battersea Opportunity Area which is tipped for massive regeneration.

The masterplan is based around a proposed Nine Elms Linear Park which provides a new route for pedestrians and cyclists through the area.

A Royal Mail Delivery Office will be located on the site’s southern most plot beneath the new primary school and community sports hall.
