AJ Stirling Prize poll result: readers plump for 6a's photo studio

AJ readers have chosen 6a architects’ Photography Studio for Juergen Teller as their favourite to win this year’s RIBA Stirling Prize

The ‘mature and confident statement of orderliness and precision’ in Ladbroke Grove, west London, received more than a third (36 per cent) of the votes in the survey, which asked readers who they wanted to win the UK’s most prestigious architecture prize.

The City of Glasgow College’s City Campus by Reiach and Hall with Michael Laird Architects came second with 20 per cent of the nearly 400 votes cast.

Hastings Pier by dRMM is both the bookmaker’s runaway favourite to scoop the prize tonight (31 October) and the winner of the RIBA’s own public poll, but only scraped 15 per cent of the AJ readers’ vote.

The least loved contender, according to our survey, was the British Museum World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners.

The winner will be announced tonight at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London.
