ADP extends listed school chapel

[FIRST LOOK + PLANS + PROJECT DATA] ADP has added an extension to this grade II-listed school chapel in Leatherhead, Surrey

The AJ100 practice has restored and extended the school’s grade II-listed old chapel providing a multi-use space and assembly hall as part of the £900,000 project.

A new cast-stone pavilion forms a contemporary extension to the chapel. It is separated from the Victorian building by a glazed link.

The chapel has been restored to reveal its original internal timber roof trusses and stained glass windows.

The project is the fourth which the practice has completed for the school after it drew up its masterplan in 2007.
