Ader reveals designs for Buckinghamshire baseball club revamp

Ader Architecture has revealed proposals for the revamp of a baseball and softball club in Buckinghamshire

The south London-based practice has drawn up feasibility plans for a new grandstand and indoor sports hall for BSUK’s (BaseballSoftballUK) complex at Farnham Park.

The sports hall, a barn-like structure with the roof extended to cover changing room areas and an entrance hall, will include new facilities for badminton, tennis, indoor football, basketball, and netball.

The grandstand features a roof that is shaped and cut to suit the long and thin triangular site and will take advantage of the existing level difference with the surface of the diamond.

At the upper level, proposals include a café and bar with views over the pitch and over the north-eastern playing fields.

Farnham Park attracts hundreds of players most weekends during the summer competing in national championships and international showcases.

Gustav Ader, formerly of Terry Pawson Architects, set up Ader Architecture in April 2014.
