Adam Khan gets the OK for Harrow homes

Adam Khan Architects has won permission for 33 homes, which will be delivered by the local council on a site in west Harrow, north-west London

The studio defeated four unnamed rivals to win the London Borough of Harrow-backed town centre project near to Harrow-on-the-Hill train station, early last year (see AJ 25.05.16).

The homes within the £8 million scheme on the current Vaughan Road Car Park will be split between private market rent and discount market rent.

The studio is working with landscape architect Adams & Sutherland, community consultant Daisy Froud, structural engineer MLM and planning consultant Tibbalds on the 3,115m² project.

Work on site is expected to start on next spring and complete in autumn 2019.

    Why even bother calling it a "split" when it actually transpires that the scheme is actually only going to provide THREE homes for affordable rent, while the rest (30) will be at market rent.
