The RIBA has edged up to 190th in the list of the top 500 most recognised brand names in the country
The institute’s ‘brand’ has climbed 54 places in the Business Superbrands Top 500 from last year, and is now ahead of Screwfix (199th), PCWorld (202nd) and ABTA (220nd).
However the marketers at Portland Place still have a way to go to catch up with haulage giant Eddie Stobart (23rd), Lycra (80th), Blue Circle (144th) and Corus (167th) – or the top brand, Google.
The positions of the top 500 businesses is judged by an independent and voluntary council of experts as well as more than 1,500 business professionals and is the brainchild of the Centre of Brand Analysis.
