A first‑class endorsement for Wilkinson Eyre

  • Comment

TfL may have only given Wilkinson Eyre three out of five for bridge-design experience, but Thomas Heatherwick has yet to have one of his creations featured on a stamp.

Wilkinson Eyre’s Peace Bridge in Derry/Londonderry, which completed in 2011, is the most modern of 10 bridges featured on the Royal Mail’s new set of first-class stamps. These also showcase Thomas Telford’s Craigellachie Bridge, Robert Stephenson’s High Level Bridge in Newcastle, the Humber Bridge and the Tees Transporter Bridge.
