A dark site for regeneration dirt

  • Comment

Just when we’d almost forgotten about the (non) trials and tribulations of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, tantalising news emerges about a secret-sharing project specifically for architects and planners.

Activist group Concrete Action is apparently set to go live with a ‘dark web’ site dedicated to the anonymous sharing of top-secret data on London regeneration projects.

It envisages that the service will allow built-environment insiders to share the kind of info that Southwark Council and Lend Lease fought tooth and nail to keep secret in relation to their multi-billion-pound regeneration of Elephant & Castle’s Heygate Estate.

Almost as interesting as any dirt that emerges will be the extent to which professionals embrace the opportunity to dish it.
