Moreland Community House: East

  • Comment

East was commissioned by the London Borough of Islington to design a children’s centre

The brief was to refurbish and extend Moreland Community House, a brown brick building built in 1907 as the caretaker’s house and workshops of Moreland School. The building offers a stay-and-play base for children of up to five years old, and is also used for community purposes such as courses for parents, advice workshops and other local events.

The new extensions increase existing stay-and-play provision and provide a new meeting room.
