Modern housing defies modern crisis

  • Comment

It seems the classicists have missed a trick.

At a time when the world is encountering one of the worst economic crises in modern times, it seems modern housing is enjoying something of a renaissance. Astragal noted with interest how specialist outfit The Modern House Estate Agents announced it will be celebrating its 5th anniversary this summer. Far from struggling to encourage people to part with vast sums of cash for London property, it seems there is a healthy interest, with the agency having sold properties designed by David Adjaye, Erno Goldfinger and James Stirling. So if you are keen to part with almost £2 million for The Tall House in Wimbledon by Terry Pawson or pay £1,000 a week for a concrete box in Gosfield Street, central London by James Fobert you know where to go.
