To paraphrase Henry II - who will rid us of this turbulent Mayor? - the Mayoral elections can't come soon enough. We need money spent on supporting and developing the whole of London, not vanity projects which add little benefit to the vast majority of Londoners, but who are expected through their taxes to part-pay for its construction AND so it appears underwrite its upkeep as well. Is there no end to this man's arrogance?
Couple this latest twist in the whole sorry debacle that is the Garden Bridge, with today's announcement that the Assembly will vote through two new exclusive super cycle highways through London and the exclusion of the cycle way on the Bridge makes no sense at all.
Undemocratic, ill conceived vanity projects need to be consigned to the planning bin by a new mayor - Tessa Jowell I hope you're listening!
The rise of the tower block continues unabated it seems - the protection of lines of site and the key buildings which until now characterised London, are in danger of being subsumed in a forest of glass and concrete.
