Architect: Evonort
Cost: £164,000

This project was in a Victorian terraced house on a sloping site in the Whitehall Park Conservation Area. The kitchen was completely refurbished and a side-infill extension created to provide a split-level dining room open to the new kitchen. Excavating below the main house provided an additional reception room, accessed via the new dining room/kitchen area. The main idea for the project was to create a flowing space, allowing for views through from the garden to the front lightwell. Daylight is brought into the new living space through this lightwell, and the fully glazed roof over the dining area ensures the kitchen is flooded with natural light.
