Wrong drop-off

Worries about the famously unsealed floors at Tate Modern seem unfounded - they showed no visible damage last week, when the building was used for the announcement of the winners (including Lord Rogers) of the Praemium Imperiale. The only damage came at the glitzy buffet, where attendees included former prime minister Edward Heath and previous German president Richard von Weizsacker.

Somebody attached the clips for holding glasses to the plates upside down. So the civilised ingestion of sushi at this Japanese-sponsored event was interrupted by the continual crash of glasses.
