Foster & Partners will know shortly if it is to embark on Whitehall's Treasury building for around £120 million. The Government is looking at options on its Grade II-listed building after an 18-month review due to end with a decision within a month. The consortium including Bovis, Stanhope and Chesterton has been firming up a PFI proposal to upgrade the office. Half of it will be used by the Treasury and half by another Government department to be determined. There are no plans for flats or a hotel as originally intended.
