Will Alsop

Will Alsop taught sculpture at St Martin' School of Art in London (1973-1981) and has been a visiting professor at colleges including the San Francisco Institute of Art in the usa, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia, the Bremen Akademie for Art and Music, and the University of Hanover, Germany.

Alsop became part of an architectural European 'family' though his collaborative work with Jean Nouvel (France), Massimiliano Fuksas (Italy) and Otto Steidle (Germany). The position of his practice was firmly established in 1990 by winning the competition for the Hotel du Department in Marseilles out of a field of 156 entries.
