London-based Brisac Gonzalez Architecture has won an honourable mention and £1,500 in the competition to design the £7.5 million extension to Rome's municipal gallery of modern art.

The practice was one of 10 singled out from 120 entries but missed out on a place on the shortlist of five, featuring three Italian architects, one Israeli and one French architect.
