What has Shoreditch done to deserve this?

We note with some concern that the Prince of Wales's Institute has decided to relocate to Charlotte Road in the heart of the Shoreditch triangle and 50m from our office. This is a wonderful area of predominantly historic industrial architecture which contains a vibrant mix of users including artists, designers, architects and loft dwellers, with a rich collection of pubs, clubs, galleries, showrooms, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Presumably this relocation is part of the Royal Family's attempt to develop some 'street credibility'. It would, however, have been worth the institute having some regard for the depressing effect this move will inevitably have on the area. Couldn't they go somewhere more appropriate? Swindon, Croydon or Dartmoor spring to mind.
