Wembley has confirmed that it is looking at increasing the capacity of the Foster and Partners-designed new stadium from 90,000 to 101,000. It has met with the architects and ministers to talk over the plans, which follow a request from the British Olympic Association. The new capacity would mean the stadium became eligible to hold the Olympic Games although its £475 million cost would rise.
