Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, whose London office ranked 51st in the AJ Top 100 (22.3.01), has formed a strategic alliance with two other US firms to form what will effectively be the fifth largest architecture firm in the world. The tie-up is being branded as Insight Alliance. Linking up with Seattlebased Callison Architecture and Atlanta-based Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates (TVS), the alliance will employ 965 people. The combined revenue of the three practices was £107 million last year. The deal stops short of a full merger, but has been created to share investment in research and innovation, and jointly manage marketing, branding and project management.
