The lottery end of the Arts Council of England has so far funded 1790 projects with £865 million of grants toward total project costs of £2.228 billion.

UK pension funds invested £145 million in commercial property in the third quarter of 1997, according to the Office for National Statistics. Returns from property were about 20 per cent during the year, says consultant Richard Ellis.
