British Museum's 1857 domed Reading Room was built with 2032 tons of iron and lined with 15mm-thick papier mache to the 33m-high dome. Hare & Humphreys has recently restored the room.

The proportion of surveyors reporting a rise in house prices was 51 per cent in March, with 13 per cent saying prices had fallen, says the rics. This is up from a balance of 27 per cent reporting a rise in February.
