Village go-ahead

  • Comment

Greenwich council has granted three planning permissions for the troubled Greenwich Millennium Village, just weeks after main architect hta resigned from the project. It has given permission for phase 1 of the project, comprising 99 residential units, designed by Nigel Upchurch Associates; and for phase 2, which consists of 127 mixed-tenure units, designed by Proctor Matthews. In addition, the council has approved the design guidelines for the village, prepared by Ralph Erskine and based on his original masterplan. Erskine has still made no comment on whether he intends to continue with the project following hta's resignation.
