Victorian manners

  • Comment

A group of Victorian Society members forgot their Victoria manners at a meeting with V&A extension architect Daniel Libeskind and expressed their displeasure at his proposals in no uncertain terms. 'I don't want to lecture you,' said the mild-mannered Libeskind. 'You are lecturing us - we've heard enough,' fulminated society luminary Roderick Gradidge. Astragal can only suggest they take Jules Lubbock's advice to heart: that Ruskin would have approved the Libeskind scheme.
