Many thanks for running the sustainability debate in your pages. It is certainly a long overdue attempt to to try and tease out the merits and demerits of the terms and the practise of sustainability.
Aust in Williams' article was informative in that it addressed the emotiveness of the term and showed the need for clarity and rationalism.
The fact that our aspirations to 'overcome natural barriers', as he put it, are being dumbed down by acquiescence to the terms of the debate, needs to be said more often.
Sustainability needs to be questioned through more debates like yours, so that we can develop a real critique of the problems, free from hysteria.Well done for a fascinating read.
