Unny outlook for thermal collector

  • Comment

Schott has launched a high-efficiency solar thermal-energy collector, which performs even when there is little sunlight. The module's high efficiency is due to the construction of the ICR (internal circular reflector) collector tubes, which consist of an envelope tube enclosing an absorber. Tubes contain a layer of pure silver which allows 360infinity sunlight collection onto the absorber tube, heating the liquid inside it.

Corrosion and condensation-free, the outer envelope is made of borosilicate glass, which protects the mirror and the absorber from environmental damage.
