Book launches were flavour of last week - both involving writer Kenneth Powell.The London launch of his book on Stephenson Bell took place at the RIBA, courtesy of RIBA Publications, which has ventured into the practice monograph market for the first time, with a rather good book.The following night saw a Channel 4 HQ launch of Powell's second volume on Richard Rogers Partnership (also good), which was the occasion for a reunion of staff past and present, plus other guests. Partner John Young tells Astragal he is not sure if he can contemplate doing another building in Westminster, despite the success of Broadwick House in Soho. Not a huge building, it took five years to get done. John prefers the Arizona desert these days . . .
