Two new neighbours for Battersea Power Station

  • Comment

David Wood Architects has designed two commercial buildings for a site close to London's Battersea Power Station.

The two four-storey blocks will have curved roofs, ground-floor shops and offices above, said the architect. One is of 780m2 and will be called Chatfield Court. The other, Berkeley Court, will have 870m2 of space. The blocks have been designed in stone to blend in with existing flats designed by Broadway Malyan. They will form a piazza and overlook the south bank of the River Thames. Planning permission has been granted and the designers are waiting for the client, Berkeley Homes, to give builders the go ahead to start work.
