Two-blade seal makes room for hinges

Architectural ironmongery - LORIENT

To reduce the potential for smoke leakage of doorsets when seals are cut away to fit hinges, Lorient Polyproducts has launched the DS to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.

Elastomeric blades are positioned on both edges, which means that one can be cut to accommodate ironmongery while the other maintains the all-important smoke integrity. The blades fold up around the fire seal for durability and resistance to shearing. In tests, the DS has performed more than one million opening and closing cycles without degradation.
