The exacting design of a house being built as part of the restoration of the historic Old Park walled gardens in the Isle of Wight called for framing materials which would be easy to cut on site. The architect opted for Trus Joist engineered timber products, which could be oversized on specification and would not twist or shrink in storage.

TJI joists also accommodated the 6m spans required for the oriental-style design.
