Time for tea

The Guardian's priceless on-line architecture debate saw exchanges between Rotterdam (Erick van Egeraat), Basel (Jacques Herzog) and London (Marco Goldschmied, Piers Gough, Sean 'fat' Griffiths, Colin St John Wilson and Jonathan Glancey). Amid surreal sequences as interlocutors responded to questions in random order, there was a frisson as Herzog and Gough clashed over the permeability or otherwise of brick and glass walls. Relief came in the form of a message for Sir Colin from his office: 'Anne says will you be home for tea?'
