Published twice yearly as a 'forum for the free discussion of objects, their pasts, presents and futures', things is a welcome magazine-cumbook which prides itself on a variety of subject matters.

The new winter edition, out soon, will feature a review of Adolf Loos'entry to the Chicago Tribune competition, an assessment of Fylingdales early warning station, a critique of Martin Parr's 'boring postcards'and lots more.

This is a great book to dip into and contains some challenging pieces on popular culture and practical analysis. Contributors are unpaid and the editors welcome new writers.
