The Listed Wind Tunnel Buildings by Julian Harrapp Architects

The group of Royal Aircraft Factory early twentieth century listed wind tunnel buildings have been externally repaired and represented at the heart of the new business park. Q121 is the 24' low speed wind tunnel circa 1934-5. R133 is the transonic wind tunnel circa 1939. Both are Grade l listed. R136 attached to R133 contains the rolling road wind tunnel and R52, built in 1915 is the country's first purpose built wind tunnel building and is Grade ll listed.
