The 'Ideas for Leeds'exhibition, run by MLDG Architects as its contribution to Architecture Week, closes tomorrow. The practice has selected four sites around the city - two car parks, the city square and the Westgate office building - and generated ideas for their re-use. Plans include a pair of 30-storey observation towers linked by a cable car (pictured), a 45-storey office block and another tower providing Japanese-style capsule accommodation for clubbers. The practice launched the show as a way of encouraging Leeds' citizens to 'think big'. The concepts are on show at the Design Innovation Centre,46 The Calls, Leeds.
