Copenhagen by Christopher Woodward (mup, 1998. £14.99) deals with a city which the fashionable Ellipsis guides have yet to reach. But visitors should remember that in 1996 the Danish publisher Arkitektens Forlag issued its English-language Copenhagen Architecture Guide (£25 approx).
Though bulkier and more expensive than Woodward's book, it includes 100 extra buildings, has colour not drab black-and-white photographs, and often supplies plans. Available: Triangle Bookshop 0171 631 1381.
