That 'one per cent margin' - it's blarney

Don’t believe the rumours – the design team for the Children’s Hospital in Dublin isn’t working for a one per cent margin

Last week a predatory diary piece appeared in the Irish Times, telling the world that London-based NBBJ Architects and Murray O’Laoire/Brian O’Connell Associates had reduced their fees to suicidal levels. Other AJ sources suggested the fees had been heavily reduced.

But one of the directors on the job was quick to rubbish the claims and told Astragal: ‘It’s completely unfounded and we would be loathe to go that low.’
