The Cladding Technology Centre operated by Taywood Engineering has completed tests on cladding systems for Dubai's Chicago Beach project of two hotels, one on shore and one on its own artificial island.

Double-skin fabric cladding by Koch Hightex, designed to represent a ship's sail and forming the wall of a huge atrium, was subjected to wind, water and condensation tests last year, and glass and aluminium systems for the offshore hotel have just completed air-permeability, watertightness and wind-resistance tests.
