[Registration to be completed by 30 November] The Office of Urban Transformations Research in Melbourne, Australia has launched an ideas contest for the future of Tasmania’s Latrobe district

Entrants are expected to rethink the town as a ‘networked city’ and provide a low-carbon vision for the region.

The contest is open to architects, landscape architects, urban designers, planners, engineers, artists and students.

A £12,600 prize fund has been announced. Previously conceived projects will be accepted but should show adaptation to the brief.
