Charlie Paton of Light Works lighting designer has won £40,000 for a 'seawater greenhouse' in the uk's first sustainable-design award. Paton won the Design Sense award for the building in Tenerife which nurtures plants with sea water, air and sunlight in an innovative condensing process. The Design Museum award was sponsored by metals group Corus (formerly British Steel).
