With challenging performance and aesthetic criteria for the glazing of the Little Ireland apartment development in Manchester, Velfac windows fitted the bill for architect Hurley Robertson Associates. The composite aluminium-and-timberframe designs gave good sightlines for the punch-hole windows and fullheight balcony doors and provided the required sound attenuation to counter noise from a nearby railway and local clubs. Windows have low U-values and are draught free.
