Damning praise, indeed, for Sandy Wilson's new British Library, from John Lanchester in last Saturday's Daily Telegraph: 'Prince Charles's jibe about the bl looking like an academy for training secret police can now be put into context by the exuberant post-modern Terry Farrell design of MI6's headquarters at Vauxhall Cross. Now that we know what the contemporary secret police hq looks like, we might even think that hrh was offering a guarded compliment.' Ouch.
